Juhayna participates in CSR panel discussion entitled “Social responsibility … the road to investment and development”

Cairo March 9, 2019 – Today, Juhayna participates in a CSR panel discussion under the patronage of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), in the presence of a group of corporate officials, representatives of government entities and civil sector. The participation comes in line with the company’s strategy that aims to Create Shared Values “CSV”, which are consistent with the sustainable development plan.

Entitled “Social Responsibility … The Road to Investment and Development”, the discussion aims to present the CSR vision of the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones. In addition to examining the best means of cooperation among all concerned parties, represented by public sector, private sector and civil society organizations. The workshop also highlights the success stories of the main key players in this field.

Juhayna participates in “Private Sector Success Stories in Corporate Social Responsibility” session, during which the company presents its CSV strategy through which it targets developing the community and evolving the F&B sector. The company’s CSV model comes in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where it applies 7 goals across its various sectors.

Furthermore, Juhayna operates in 5 different sectors namely Industry, Health & Nutrition, Environment, Youth & Sports, and Employment & Diversity. The company worked on many interrelated initiatives, through which it integrates global practices to achieve a sustainable balance between its expansion strategy and its active contribution in the development of the communities in which it operates.

Worth mention, Juhayna has recently joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), which works through rigorous and well-thought-out mechanisms to help companies implement global sustainability principles and take effective steps to support them.
