Initially established in 1998, Juhayna’s El Marwa factory has been upgraded and modernized so that today it features the most globally advanced technologies in manufacturing.
The factory specializes in the treatment of fruits to produce fruit concentrates and pulps that are used for both internal and domestic consumption, as well as exports. Fruits handled at the factory include mango, guava, strawberry, peach, apricot, apple and concentrated carrot — all processed using the highest quality control systems.
The plant is semi-automated and employs 130 workers, technicians, engineers and administrative staff members in collaboration with the Modern Concentrates Factory.
El Marwa and Modern Concentrate Factory has been upgraded and modernized throughout the years.
FSSC 2200 or Food Safety System Certificate which is considered the updated version of the ISO 22000:2005 system, which assures the appliance of international standards that combine the Food Safety Management System and the conditional and preliminary programs of safe food manufacture.
The plant has become a member of SEDEX “The Supplier Ethical Data Exchange” in 2012. Which assures the social responsible practices through its business.
El Marwa plant has been granted the OHSAS 18001 certificate in 2009. This certificate is given to the plants that put forward the safety and security of their workers. EL Marwa plant has received this certificate because it is equipped with the latest central control systems which improve efficiency and consequently reduce accidents and production time loss.
The plant also received the SGF certificate from the IRMA international company certifying that it is an approved supplier for the European Union

El Marwa plant has also earned ISO 14001/2007 which is granted to the plants that apply integrated resources management systems; for example, wastes recycling and the efficient use of energy. In addition, El Marwa has been granted this certificate because it demonstrates its commitment to its social responsibility on various levels and horizons.
